NW Washington
Some Austrian Winter Peas are grown for seed in N Idaho on the eastern edge of the Palouse area. They are not very winter-hardy, so they can die out in some winters. One big problem is weed control. They are in the ground for a long time, and with peas, you have very few herbicide options. You need dry weather when they are ripe. Newer varieties stand up better than the old ones.

Here is a link to the company for which the AW Peas are grown in Idaho/Washington. https://www.pnw.coop/fccp-specialty-crops-17635#initialDiv
