nw NC | Have a 105 here that I tried to get disassembled last winter to replace all the bearings in the entire unload auger system. Had to remove the entire unload system from machine to begin total disassembly to get to the very bottom bearing on the vertical tube which was worn out and leaking feed onto the ground. I put lots of heat from acetylene torch on one of those bevel gears and had a large gear puller on it at the same time. when gear was hot I struck the gear puller screw with a hammer . moved it some but did not get it off. Neighbor needed to use machine to grind some shelled corn that I sold to him. We just used the mill and mixer without the unload auger system . He sat a tub under the mill tank emptying slide gate opening and fed out of the tub with a bucket. I will at sometime return to getting the auger assembly apart. It is a tough job because of more than 50 years of dust and rust not allowing gears to slide on shafts even with heat and oil soaking. | |
