Subject: RE: Integra coverage log switch

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
As 1666guy states, an Application Rate Module is used for this purpose. The Application Rate Module has a port on it which can be connected to an implement switch, relay or separate switch to start/stop a Coverage map. The area covered is also displayed.

This module can also be connected to a flow meter or shaft sensor which then can the display the area covered and applied rate besides making Coverage and Applied Rate Maps. I do this with a liquid manure wagon and also starter fertilizer on my corn planter.

The Module does control the product but displays useful information and maps.

This topic was covered sometime back but I was not able to find that thread. Another poster indicated that he did not use a Module at all but created a configuration and turned ON the map with the screen icon in the lower portion of the screen. He said that since he had auto swath, the areas that had been covered were disregarded. I have no experience with the approach of getting auto swath involved for that purpose but my gut reaction is that it wouldn't work that way.

A very basic approach would be to just turn a Coverage map on with the screen ICON and leave it on for the entire field. This map would show double coverage on the Headlands and wouldn't be perfect either but still might be useful.

If you have auto steer, another approach that might be workable for you is to have a map created based on the status of auto swath. The map would show where auto steer was engaged which might be useful although not a perfect map of your work.
