If you can leave the salt in the bottom it will work. If you stir it up you’re done.
I would be surprised if it comes out of the tank to be honest though. Probably the bottom 1/4 of tanks is garbage. And most likely has even 3” hoses and valves plugged off.
I’m not sure what the analysis would be if you went in the top and just pumped the clean stuff off the top.
