N FLA | I think my feed is fluffy. I use peanut skins which weigh about 650 pounds per one ton sack, when packed in tightly. .
When the mixer came it had some damage at the flange kind of a weak spot there f you will. I could see some legacy welding or braising there, but the metal tube already had some crumple in it. I leave the machine out and work it about 3 nights a week. One night we had a bad storm, 50 mph type winds and I think I had heavy feed in the unloader and it was out. That was the beginning of the end. Most nights ill fold that auger up, but sometimes we're out until midnight after we've worked all day. And I made a mistake.
I should have taken the tube straight off and had it rebuilt. But I've been running it and I think the flighting dug into the tube. It doesn't really make sense but that's exactly where the auger is broken. In the process of that it has packed with feed. But I don't think it's normally packed as I use dry fluffy ingredients except some peanuts. But never more than 10% peanut. | |
