Have flown on rye anytime from 1st week of August to 1st week of October never total fail but not too impressive either. Nightcrawlers can take most of the seed down burrows, late seeding when they have gone into hibernation can work better.

With rain every few days this would be a good year to fly some on if you can get pilot to switch away from spraying fungicide, not real likely, at this date.
