I tried to keep bees in the MS Delta for three years but heavy infestation in cotton two years ago around the area pretty much eliminated my 10 hives in a short time. I was able to salvage enough bees to make three small hives and sold to a local bee keeper.
I was able to trap them in at dark so he could come get them.
Contact your neighbor and it should work out.
