I would concur with what you are saying. I would add that a pre-emerge with residual is key so that you can stretch that post application out a bit. Success of the post app is entirely dependent on residual being activated or not applied at the correct time. We struggled last year because we did not have rain at the right time to activate residuals. This year with the same program fields are very clean.
