West Kentucky | We have sprayed second application strips every year for about the past 10 years. The first year we did it, ended up being a bad southern rust year here. Under irrigation that year, the first pass was worth 15-20 bushel, but the strips that had two passes was worth right at 70 bushels. We only had a few second pass strips and it zebra striped the yield maps. We have had several years of rust since then, but not once have we made a second application pay. | |
