Middlesex County, Ontario | I see no reason to remove nozzles if you have room for them on the sprayer.
Nozzles get replaced because they wear out, and the only way they wear out is by spraying through them. They don't wear out by sitting on the sprayer.
Every year I have to remove/re-install a set of nozzles to run my streamer bars. That set of nozzles are the only nozzles that ever plug. Removing and re-installing nozzles allows contamination into the nozzle that the strainers can't catch.
I don't scrub nozzles. Nozzles get cleaned by the pressure washer when I wash the sprayer occasionally. After a power wash they look spotless.
Run RV antifreeze through at the end of the season to winterize. I drain whatever RV antifreeze I can as part of the winterizing process. In spring I just purge my boom in the fence line as you would. |
