It is a fact that a multi-species cover will do more for your soil than a mono, but maybe that is not what you're after.


Its a fact? Guess youll have to show me. Im not against multi species but for me one chokes out the other. Ther is only so much room out there. Some of the mixes ive heard are in my opinion, stupid (unless you sell covercrop seed).


When measuring things like root Mass, biomass, drought tolerance, fixing compaction, nutrient cycling, weed suppression

SARE got information from 2000 farms on cover crops where the mixes outperformed a single species.

NRCS and Gabe Brown did a bunch of studies and the mixes outperform the single

Cornell University, Midwest cover crop council, University of Illinois all had the same outcome.

In a mix that is seated at the appropriate rate with well-chosen species does not compete against each other to actually help each other.
