I tried to "no-till" alfalfa into soybean stubble last spring with a Brillion in March. 25% germination and it varied a LOT. We used to frost seed with a spinner spreader in Feb and would get good stands, but this was a total failure.

Came back in May and re-seeded with a JD 1590. Perfect stand.
