If I have some bean maturities coming off early I like adding clovers with the rye this is what I do on acres going to corn.
Planting late August/early September
-4#Crimson
-3#Viper balansa
-2# yellow blossom
-10-15# cereal rye
.5# dwarf Essex rape
* sometimes add nitro radish in the mix too
Anything later in September or October/early November gets R&R cover mix.
25-35# Rye
.5-1# Rape
