Yes DB I typically run 2 inserts in the first round bar concave.
I have a set of small wire concaves that I have run in beans before. I leave the first section small wire alone...then pull every other wire out of the back 2 concave sections. That's probably my favorite setup for cutting soybeans....but not good when your switching between corn and soybeans.
