North of London | I have been in that position, wondering if I should add something else to the oats I drill in after wheat harvest
I have the similar goals as you
1) cover the ground
2)suppress weeds
3) add a little residue to plow down
4) scavenge any surplus N that wheat left behind
Have asked around and checked other species and decided oats are doing all I want and at the least cost.
I think some of the complicated mixes are just so the user can say how many species they put in their mix | |
