What model Topcon rover did you get? Some rovers have an external GNSS antenna port, which means you can mount a separate globe on the plow and have the expensive receiver safe in the cab. Hyper VR is an example of a new model that has this port. We have used them with AGPS systems to control plows. This software programs the topcon to ask it for the NMEA, but you should be able to do the same thing on the field computer to use it with different displays. You would need a DB9 COM cable.
It seems like the field computer you have should be able to collect the topo and export a txt file that can be read by most any design software.
