Look at Mchale. Built heavier than Case or Deere. After being close to a Mchale, Case/New Holland and Deere balers will feel like they should be sold in Home Depot or Lowe's rather than a commercial farm equipment lot. Deere should take that stupid weave hitch to Lowe's and Home Depot as well. Perfect for a "home owner."

Mchale has heavier built bearings and moving parts than competitors. German balers used to be good but now use cheaper non German parts. Quality has gone way down and the balers are still priced like they are 100% old school German.

Not sure what the used market looks like and price definitely comes into play but all else equal- go Mchale.
