Nebraska | The tires on our combine are getting pretty bad so got a quote on a new set. This is on a Gleaner R65 with 30.5Lx32 drive and 16.9x24 steers. Original drives are 16 ply and steers are 10 ply. Planing to stay with bias ply tires. Got a quote back for a set of MRL brand tires. He said BKT and Firestone do not have a 10 ply in the steer tires and the MRL would be a 12 ply steer and either 18 or 20 ply for the drives. He said they've had good luck with the MRL tires on center pivots and have used them on a few tractors. I've never heard of MRL before and didn't find a whole lot when I searched either. Has anybody had experience with MRL tires? Price seemed pretty reasonable compared to BKT and Firestone.
