Subject: Case 4400 series corn head question

West Central Iowa
I have a Case 4400 series corn head. I have 1 roller where the knife roller has about 1/2 in of free play in its rotation. Looking at the parts diagram it looks like a hexagon shaft just goes into the gear box. What part has the slop in it? The gear box or the shaft. I sort of liked the old 1083 and 1063 series where you could replace the square tube of the knife rollers. Any help is appreciated. I need to replace the knifes and need to get some parts. The knifes aren't that bad, but pry will be happy in the long run! Not thinking this head will last as long as the old Case heads! Thanks
