John Deere C500 pivot swings to far

Yea it’s frustrating always having to adjust it, was thinkin of cylinder stops in it to see if that would help but that would only help to the one side the otherside which I think is the right side where the cylinder is fully extended where it skips more! It almost looks like on the right hand side where the pivot cylinder mounts to the machine there is 2 u bolt clams and then a bolt from the outside I’m wondering if you loosen them clamps and then tighten that bolt if it will move that bracket the pivot is attached to if that would shorten the length of travel? I’m not sure but no one seems to know and what’s even weird is a friend has a c500 and he said he does t have this issue swings it all the way over and it’s dead on no skips
