Subject: RE: How far away of bee boxes do you need to be

Holland, Indiana (SW IN)
Rented quite a few acres to a watermelon grower ---I was scared had 250 acres of soybeans right next to the watermelons

Watermelons had 3 hives per acre to pollinate them In our case 900 hives --I'd hate to guess the value of 900 hives

Watermelon guy said don't worry we sprayed dicamba one spraying --then fungicide with insecticide at R3 in a field with 25' to the watermelons
Watermelons were East of our soybeans winds in our area usually from the west

Bees lived --we didn't kill any watermelons ---

Good luck hope your results are the same
Dan

Add but I'm not sure bees prefer Watermelon flowers to bean flowers OR if we killed some bees
