I haven’t had the pleasure of working on the bed augers on my 2388 yet but take my opinion for what it’s worth.
You’re already that deep into the project, take the time and do it right. I find that trying to get by without taking something apart to get at it costs me more time fiddling around than if I had just done it the right way the first time.
