The Eversense works great for me because if you knock it off or something happens you don’t lose the whole CGM. You just grab a new adhesive patch and put the transmitter back on. It works with a phone but I’m pretty confident you could get a cheap phone without a data plan that she could keep with or near her. If you do a data plan there is another app that will send alerts. I’ve not used it but my eversense rep had it on his phone for his young son and would send him real time alerts for highs and lows which might be a good solution to the daycare problem. It also has what they call on body alerts. Even if it loses Bluetooth connection because you’re not close to your phone the transmitter will vibrate 3 times on your arm and a small light comes on letting you know something is going on and you need to check the app. You can also set alerts for if it’s rising or falling rapidly and predictive alerts letting you know you’re headed the wrong direction. I’ll try to attach some screenshots of the app.
