Subject: Update on Southern rust in Iowa corn fields

Fort Dodge, IA
See video from yesterday! Southern Rust has moved above the ear leaf in some fields. I'll be checking several fields on SkyScout today that had fungicide applications 2 weeks ago. I'm getting reports from my Landus agronomy team that Southern Rust is still active and may require a second application. We are in a high disease environment with it seems like rain every other day and warm temperatures which are ideal conditions for this disease to continue to spread.
