I don't think so.
Typically, when you plug a display in the corner post, it takes over all Precision related functions and the armrest display is just a dummy machine display, like the 2010 era machines were.
Their is a way to set up the display to hand some functions between displays, but the GS3 to G5 may be a little too big of a step.
