Kooiker - 7/28/2025 22:05 RTK...it’s about cost savings and increased productivity.
Low acres, location, and equipment used were not defined. Around here, productivity tends to be a function of rainfall, better seed genetics, and when planted. Leaving a wider distance on pass to pass accuracy say for wheat drilling, may have little, if any, yield gain since ground moisture can migrate horizontally and used. YMMV, but when farming a few acres, as in a hobby farmer, markers/WAAS usage would be prudent.

Youre talking about yield gain, I’m talking about equipment/operator productivity and reducing input costs.

The cost to go from WAAS auto steer to RTK is not that big of a cost.
