Central ND | Yes and no on the locks. I don't want to wake up with a drunk stranger standing in my bedroom without hearing him enter and making noise to get in, so doors are locked.
In 1980 while my Grandad was sick and in the hospital 90 miles away, my dad had called home the night before and said he was going to spent the night there and be home for milking cows in the morning. Yes, our doors were always left open back then. About the time we were about to get up for milking the light came on in the kitchen, and when we came out to greet my dad and ask about grandpas condition, >>>> there stood a partly intoxicated gentleman we didn't know covered in blood from jumping our driveway approach with his Chrysler Cordoba in his sleep. He moved plenty of dirt and sod before he went airborne. He had a pretty hard landing and the square shape of the dash gauges were on his face as deep cuts that left lifelong scars..
Very nice fella so nothing bad happened to us. He just had to do some growing up the hard way. | |
