So overall how did things sell? Similar to last year or lower.
The little bit of the big ticket new items i watched id say 50 to 100k off from last year at same time for same machine and hours. Thats tractors and combines. I talked with a New Holland dealer yesterday im good pals with, I've ran numbers and cant see how people justify it. Buying new and taking massive hit on 2-300 hour year old machine. Dealer said the same thing, talked with banker to about it plus some financial guys and they can't make numbers jive either. Im must just be stuck in the 90s or 80s, maybe early 2000s when i could buy a fully loaded combine for 150k and had $3 corn. |
