NE Iowa | We rented an apartment in an apartment building very reasonably. Had a washer and dryer, two bedrooms and two baths. Full kitchen also.
Use the metro to get around. It’s cheap and easy and goes right where you need to be. We spent a week there and I could have stayed another week.
Good shoes are a must. The national mall is a big place and you will be on your feet all day. I really like the Korean War memorial, Vietnam wall, and the Lincoln monument at night. The Bible museum was enjoyable and the holocaust museum was moving.
Good luck and have fun. The White House and pentagon require some pre planning and your rep or senator need to get it approved. | |
