Subject: RE: pole barn ceiling

Elmwood, Ne. Just East of Lincoln
I’m kind of conservative on things. So much so we pretty much have done everything ourselves except rafters, exterior metal, insulation and concrete. I was going to just go with fiberglass bat insulation in our new shop addition. That’s what worked for 34 years in the old one, so why not. My wife talked me into spray foam. I then just lobbied to do the walls and blow the ceiling but I lost. Did the whole thing. I must say no regrets. Three inches on roof and two inches on walls. It’s been around 95° the last few days and I’ve been working inside and it stays in the 77° range all day. Not cheap but I’d say go for it if you can. I think it will be worth it.
