Ha, Ha. Many subscription services are that way. Tell them you want to cancel and many come out with a killer deal. Just did this with one of my monthly subscriptions and got 75% off for the next 24 months. Another knocked off 50% for the upcoming year.
So far, Tesla hasn't offered similar. I've subscribed to the FSD, a couple times. When I cancel, they just say, "OK". No killer offers, so far. 
I do expect the price to come down a lot in the near future. I like Tesla cars and think they are the best available at the present time when all things are considered. The whole FSD and robo-taxi deal don't impress me. Evidently, the folks at Tesla seem to agree with my assessment. I see where Tesla is rolling out a new Chauffer service in CA. Cars will be Teslas with human drivers at the wheel???
Not sure what the value add is there.
