SE IL | Yes. Air has its limitations. The spray pattern relies on a certain amount of overlap to get the correct coverage which makes it a no go for many herbicides with anything sensitive around. Early in spring with big fields and nothing around to drift/spray on, it works good. What’s likely to happen imo in the near future is every farm of much size will have both. The cost to get a decent drone setup is so cheap compared to most other things on the farm, and doing stuff yourself so it can be done timely is getting ever more important. | |
