I think it’s what you get used to. The IHC rear fuel tank looks like a headache. The up front on Deere is nice to nose into fuel tank turn the wheels all the way left access is easy.
And then you still have to wiggle along the frame rail or ruin your hips with the big step up to the axle anyways.
With an IH you can comparatively back up to a tank or drive along side, step on the draw bar, then up to the pto shield and then one can watch the gauge through the back window as one fills as well. On an older IH you lean over the steering wheel from the operator's platform.
Plus, no unknowledgeable farm hand can accidentally fill the radiator or fuel tank with the other's fluid on an IH. |
