Subject: help finding a old variety of apple tree

as a kid, i remember we had a couple apple trees that produced small (little bigger than golf ball) soft, super delicious apples. they yielded a lot, the tree branches would be bowed down. the only problem was they were prone to getting a worm or spoiling fast. but boy, they were good, it was about 2 bites :-) i looked online, closest i could find is "rockit" but that comes from new zealand. i was thinking of planting some for the grandkids one day. thanks
