We have a XAG 150 and it comes with its own rtk base station.
My son doesn’t want internet on the trailer because when it’s near internet it seems like it’s always wanting to do updates and the last thing he wants to do is sit on the edge of a field waiting to load an update.
We load updates at home.
If you want internet with you there are SIM cards in drone and controller, we just never activated them.
That makes sense. I suppose a custom operation that is far from home base might want it, but I don’t see a need being close to home.
What all does your son use his drone for? I would guess your terrain is similar to what we are here in eastern Iowa? |
