Subject: Sweet Corn season - pricing

Thumb of Michigan
It's finally here (locally grown stuff that is), selling for $7 a dozen (was $7 a baker's dozen last year). Shrinkflation is happening to sweet corn too, I guess.

Biggest problem is a large local grower retired. He planted 20+ acres of fenced in area, had a large, refrigerated area that he could put corn in overnight if not sold. Some of the freshest corn around. Oh, well I'll survive, as long as I get some fresh corn (along with a BLT, who needs anything else for a meal this time of year anyhow?). He would have fresh corn for over 2 1/2 months (if we didn't get an early frost).
