Western Oregon
We buy organic ground beef for $4.00lb from the organic dairy that my Son grows feed for, comes from heifers that will not breed or first calf heifers that don't make the cut, but most of our red meat is elk. Very little pork anymore, a couple loins, smoked, and a little made into "bacon rounds", a year. We can chicken, 3 to a pot, spring water to cover, cook, remove meat, break bones and boil another 1/2 hr. Fill pint jar 1/2 full, add broth and seal. Or bake in oven, start, breast down. $1.00 each plucked and cleaned from the pastured egg farm....James
