Minnesota | You do not need to have your planting data on the combine monitor unless you want to do automatic variety tracking. The function works OK if you have different varieties in a field, but the grid resolution is pretty low to try to do split planter tracking. Regardless, if that's what you want, you need to use some type of software to write a variety map and load it on the pro700. You can certainly enter the varieties manually as you combine or you can edit them with your analysis software after harvest.
There are quite a few youtube clips on how to set up the variety tracking. If you are new to the pro700 in a combine, also search youtube to learn how to do the yield calibrations. If you spend the time to calibrate, you will have accurate yield data. Do several loads at different flow rates.
Lastly, be sure that you have a good usb stick. Spend the money to buy the overpriced one from CNH if you want the best chance at having data. They do very funky things if you use a memory stick that it doesn't like. | |
