Virginia | Under load the gearbox input shaft spins, but auger doesnt. Without anything in the cart, the auger spins. Im guessing a bearing is out in the rear. Maybe teeth gone. Unsure till i open it up. Input shaft is a little floppy too.
ATI is out of business. The gearbox is a durst. I tried calling durst but they are no help for parts. If the shafts and gears are ok, im sure i can measure and find bearings. But if its all crap, im having a hard time finding a replacement. The output shaft to the auger is 540 splines snd the input shaft is 540 also. I assume any 540 right angle gearbox is acceptable? Ones i see as parker replacements are only 33 hp rated. Its a 450 bushel 12" auger.
Also, the gearbox is 540 spline, but the tractor input is small 1000. Looks like its that way from the factory as all ati harvest flow 590s for sale are also 1000 pto. I assumed they are meant to run at tractor idle rpm, which is what i do. I have it hooked to a case magnum 260, and the pto\gearbox is very loud snd vibrates at anything past idle. So i assumed the whole system was 540, and having it on 1000 conversion made it full speed at tractor idle. But this year i put it on my IH 1066 and its smooth through all rpms. Kinda confused by that.
Anyways, any help finding a gearbox would be great. Ive looked at similar graincarts without luck.
