Pittsburg, Kansas

But why count them when I don't need to? LOL

We also like Texas Road House when on the road. I usually do the Road Kill hamburger steak with either double chili as the two sides or one chili and a steamed vegetable which I usually request all broccoli but occasionally I will eat the half carrots also. We just tell them no rolls and usually drink water and ask for some lemon in it. Wife usually does a small steak. Me, I am just a hamburger kind of guy. Usually prefer it over steak unless it is an unusually good steak. Then I like steak. If it is just a so so steak, grind it up for me please! I eat a lot more steak at home than on the road. I know what I am getting there.

We are about to go on a two week cruise on a Viking ocean ship. There I will eat steak almost every night as that is always one of the dinner menu options and it has always been a good steak. Occasionally I eat two, although eating three meals a day instead of the two we do at home I usually don't. They don't offer hamburger at night but they do at lunch!!! Fortunately for me. All the eggs, bacon and sausage I can eat for breakfast.

Calories are an odd way to measure food energy. A bomb calorimeter measures the heat energy in a substance when it is burned. Meat has calories. Sawdust has calories. They don't digest the same nor do they provide similar energy to a human body and definitely not similar nutrients.
