Generational bullchit always gets thrown in there too yet plenty of multigenerational farms are scattered all across the “frontier” depending upon statehood and when the US cavalry chased off the Indians.
Plenty of ND and SD guys (fringe) have lower COPs than I-staters…. Hence why every spring the NAT debate is about fringe “quitting”. It won’t happen - ever.
