| It's going to be tough, but I won't say impossible. It's far from a slam dunk at this point.
The Des Moines soil lobe in north central Iowa, is heavy wet soil and it produces a lot of the corn in the state. However many areas are getting dumped on, and that will take the top off the fields that are not patterned tile very fast. Even areas that are pattern tiles may not have enough outlet through the county drainage districts. I've had over 13" in the last 30days and I know areas that are in worse shape than that. Now, the flip side is that some areas in eastern and western Iowa are prime gardening spots and may yield great.
My personal opinion is that there will be individual farms around the state that set yield records. Some will be on the high and some on the low end.
