SE MN | The point is that they should have stopped at the next country they came to from their "homeland" but they didn't want to do that. They wanted to come here, not due to needing asylum but due to economic reasons. That's not how it's supposed to work.
I'm all for immigration that follows the rules and I would be in support of increasing the amount of people in the positions that monitor, regulate, and enforce immigration so that more people who want to work and contribute can come to this country, no matter what they look like or where they are from. However, with the welfare state that we currently have in place I do not support open borders. Maybe that isn't what you favor either, I don't know. NYC was all in favor of immigration until they had to deal with the results closer to home. Then it wasn't so great.... | |
