NW MN | So the flip side is keep doing what we were doing. Along comes a pandemic and we realize nearly all of our medications and medical equipment are made elsewhere. Not to mention military equipment. At what point does it make national security sense to alter conditions such that it's viable to make at least a certain amount of key items in the USA? On the other side, we need to drastically cut regulations, etc for Americans to better compete. I hear farmers all the time complain how equipment going to other countries doesnt have all the emissions crap we do. The playing field needs to be more level, and yes that may raise prices of certain things. Also, is it fair that Canada is part of nato just by contributing a few loonies? | |
