| Our John Deere 9500 combine has a problem with the header lifting extremely slowly AT TIMES. It happened about 4 years ago, we've been running it as is since then. I can't even remember if it was subtle at first or one day it just started lifting slowly. So, the head will lift at the correct speed when you start the combine but after 5 minutes of operating the head up and down it will go back to lifting very slowly. Now, sometimes at idle the head will lift at the correct speed but once you give it full throttle it goes back to lifting slowly. There seems to be the same magnetic strength on the #2 coil both at idle and full throttle when raising the head. The slow speed at which it goes up hasn't gotten any worse over the past 4 years, just stays the same. The combine has 4,500 separator hours. I change all filters annually. ALL other controls function perfectly fine. What could the problem be? | |
