| Listened to a panel discussion last weekend. Panel consisted of a vet, a cattle feeder who also direct markets 200 head a year, and a guy who sells some bulls but also does a lot of custom AI. None of them felt the cow herd was growing at this point. Vet said she bangs vaccinated the usual amount of heifers, the AI guy said he had a few customers that had quit. The direct market guy said business had never been better. Said he shipped quite a few halves and quarters direct. The death of the beef industry because of expansion or too high prices apparently isn't at hand. | |
