The bad part to me is, a lot of the comments on the stories are villainizing the farmer for making money, or saying trump didn’t keep his campaign promise because beef has gone up. Nevermind that it’s the market at work, and the cow calf guy is actually making some money to make up for years of red ink.
Most don’t think far enough into it that there’s less cows, so therefore less calves, and less beef supply, simply because there’s been too thin of a profit margin, or it’s been negative, so cow calf producers have quit. | |
