I can’t remember the corn crop ever being at 74% this time of the year. The tight tassel wrapping must be taking some yield off. The excessive rain must be dropping the crop but the rating continues to be high.

Beings the remote sensing values are at all time record highs, the ratings had better be as well or something is wrong.

Maybe the boots on the ground guys noticed all the doubles silks the plants are throwing. They won't probably stick but those plants that are happy with circumstances.

Not all the satellite imagery makes the crop look like a record, you can definitely see an improvement in Northern Iowa/Southern MN though.
