Subject: Rogator 1064 and Trimble Field-IQ

Western New York State
I am looking for information from someone who has firsthand knowledge. We recently purchased a Rogator 1064 sprayer that came with a Raven 661 controller, and a Trimble fm-1000, EZ-Pilot and Field-IQ. We wanted one set up with Trimble because that’s what we plant with. But whoever installed the Trimble butchered the wiring trying to get it to work, but didn’t. I know you can buy this as a kit from Trimble, but I don’t see how it could work. First question; how can the Field-IQ control the section valves using the Raven harness 16 pin connector? It looks to me that the Raven system turns on the section valves using light blue wire circuits 430 and toggle switch box and only senses in the 16 pin connector on yellow wire circuits 627. How can the Field-IQ control the section valves connected to the same 16 pin Raven connector (pins 2,5,6,7,8,9)? Second question. The Rogator seems to use a switched power, negative controlled PWM hydraulic valve controlling the product pump, but it looks to me that the Field-IQ doesn’t have that option. It appears to have a PWM option, but using the two +- pins 3 and 4 (servo?) Is this a software version issue, or am I missing something? I’m sure someone is using this setup, and we would really like to get it working so we can use our maps and autosteer.
