Prices for a new, 1200 sq foot house on a slab, in town, here, are approaching $150 a square foot. A nice 2200 sq foot duplex on a slab is $200 a square foot. Add in property taxes and insurance and most young folks are priced out. Rents for the same 1200 sq foot house are over $1000 a month.
